GBOROKA is a powerful short film by African Women & Their Stories (A.W.A.T.S.) that explores feminine unity within Sierra Leone's Bondo culture while confronting the deeply complex and sensitive issue of female circumcision. Through storytelling, the film encourages thoughtful dialogue about tradition, women's rights, and bodily autonomy. This partnership is designed to raise awareness, foster understanding, and advocate for ending the practice. “GBOROKA” refers to a woman who has not undergone circumcision.
